The Tuesday, August 2, 2022, 5:30 pm, Parade of Colors: The Brainerd Color Guard/Honor Guard presented the flag at the opening ceremony of the fair. The local chapter of the Civil Air Patrol Honor Guard was there too.
Sam Anderson, Director of Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge in Brainerd sang the Star-Spangled Banner. Nice applause too.

God Bless America was sung onstage that night by the Darlene and the Boys band.

August 3, 2022: The fair beer garden, near the free music stage, was open and manned by the Brainerd VFW. There was a car and tractor parade that passed by. The Brainerd American Legion was there to help park cars.
