October 11, 2025: Brainerd VFW Post 1647 received the prestigious All-American Award, as a member of the All-American Team. This is national VFW recognition for an outstanding post with increased membership, community involvement along with active participation in the Voice of Democracy and Patriot's Pen competitions. Receiving the award at the Minnesota Sixth District meeting was Brainerd VFW Senior Vice Commander Christian "Chip" Borle. He was commander during the 2024-2025 year that the award covers.

June 6, 2025: Minnesota VFW Summer Convention in St. Cloud. Brainerd VFW took the First-Place award for social media. This is the seventh time that Brainerd has won a media award and the fifth time this VFW came in first.
