August 9, 2024: The Brainerd Color Guard was invited to Brainerd International Raceway to present the flag at a PGI (Pyrotechnics Guild International) fireworks show. This was an international event drawing 1800 fireworks creators from around the world. Thousands showed up to see the fireworks. Guard members were treated to demonstrations of fireworks before the main show.
The Color Guard presented the flag and played TAPS.

August 21, 2022: The Brainerd Color Guard/Honor Guard was asked to present the flag at Brainerd International Raceway at the start of the National Hot Rod Association races. A woman sang the Star-Spangled banner to a cheering crowd. The track crowd is very patriotic. Veterans were thanked for their service and television interviews were done by Lakeland TV. Lenora Zino arranged for a dunk tank to raise money for Crow Wing County Disabled American Veterans.
