Anual Flag Day Ceremonies are put on by Brainerd Elks Lodge #615 at the All-Veterans Memorial, 4th and Laurel Streets in downtown Brainerd. It is open to the public and everyone is invited.

Flag Day is a national holiday when we celebrate the fact that on this day in 1777, we adopted our national flag. The red signifies valor and willingness to sacrifice. Blue stands for vigilance and justice. White represents pure intentions and high ideals. Elks have celebrated this since 1890.
The flag is on all of our national buildings, state buildings, many of our homes, on ships, and even on the Moon. |
June 14, 2025: Brainerd Elks Lodge #615 held their annual Flag Day Ceremony at the All-Veterans Memorial, 4th and Laurel Streets. A history lesson of the American flag was given.

Do you know you can purchase a 3' x 5' American Flag at the Brainerd VFW for just $35? Drop by anytime between noon and 10 pm and ask the staff. Show your patriotism by displaying the US flag and support the VFW at the same time. You can also bring in old tattered flags and for proper disposal. Drop them in a box inside the club, near the 6th Street door. There is no charge.

There is no better symbol of our country’s values and traditions than the Flag of the United States of America. It continues to exemplify the profound commitment to freedom, equality, and opportunity made by our founders more than two centuries ago.
