Saturday, December 14, 2024: The Brainerd VFW filled with guests starting at noon.
It was almost a full house.
The event was under the able direction of Brainerd VFW Auxiliary President Cheryl Hull. There was food for everyone. Donny Shogren played keyboard and Mike Williams played harmonica while Sue Sterling sang. Children sang too. Mark Persons read Twas the Night before Christmas to the delight of the crowd. Then Santa flew in and read a book about what snowmen do at night. Then he talked with the kids who were eager to talk about the gifts they wanted.

The Grinch showed up, but was quickly escorted out by a couple of veterans!
