I am a certified Program Aide and I have assumed this role at our local day camps for four years. I have attended Camp Shingobee Timbers and Camp Sanderson. My troop and I have hosted and organized the local World Thinking Day three years in a row. I have spent a night at Lake Superior Zoo, and at the underwater world in the Mall of America. I have volunteered for the local Memorial Day Service two years in a row. My troop has never had possible leadership positions for girls to assume although I am the only girl in my troop to receive a Gold Award.
Gold Award Project:
I am a Nordic skier. For a while, I assumed everyone knew what Nordic skiing is. I found that a lot of people do not know what it really is; most confuse it with downhill or alpine skiing. I saw a need in my community to inform people about Nordic skiing including the health benefits. School participation record: Class Cabinet 9,10,11,12 - Vice President 11,12, Student Council 11,12 - Secretary 12, Eco Club 12 - Secretary 12, BHS Peer Tutoring 12, National Honors Society 11,12, Student of the Semester 10, Nordic Skiing 9,10,11,12 - Jeff Losos Memorial Award & Heart of a Warrior Award 12, Varsity, Letter 11,12, Band 9,10, Volleyball 9.
