Students living within 50 miles of Brainerd are welcome and encouraged to compete in this annual contest.
Categories: Grades K-1, Grades 2-3 and Grades 4-5. Parents of the winners will be notified. The top three local winners in each grade group will go to district and state for judging. The rest of the cards will be distributed to area veterans.

Winning entries will be displayed on the Brainerd VFW website and may be sent to the media.
Tuesday, November 9, 2021: There was a full house of students, parents, friends and grandparents when winners of the Brainerd VFW Veteran Thank You Card Making Contest were honored. Winning cards went on to 6th District VFW. The others were sent to local veterans.
