Wednesday, July 31, 2024: Ron Specker from KLTF Radio in Little Falls, MN, was at the Crow Wing County Fair doing a live broadcast from 10 to 11 am. Interviews were done with Brainerd VFW Post and Auxiliary members. Mark Persons talked about veteran issues. Mike Williams described the Brainerd Honor Guard. Paula Persons told about cleaning veteran graves by members of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Sue Sterling talked about the Brick Program at the All-Veterans Memorial.

The antique car and tractor parade began at 10:30 am.
Tuesday, July 30, 2024, 5 pm Opening Ceremony with the Brainerd Honor Guard at the Mills Stage. Included was a unit from the Crow Wing Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol.

There was a 21-rifle in salute to fallen comrades and Taps was played.

The Brainerd American Legion handled fair parking. An antique car and tractor parade started at 10:30 am to the delight of the crowd.
August 1, 2023, the Crow Wing County Fair opened with the Parade of Colors by the Brainerd Color Guard and the Crow Wing Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol, starting at 5:15pm. The MC was Gary Doucette.

The Star-Spangled Banner was sung by Sam Anderson from Adult and Teen Challenge.

A 21-rifle salute and Taps were played by the Brainerd Color Guard.

The Tuesday, August 2, 2022, 5:30 pm, Parade of Colors: The Brainerd Color Guard/Honor Guard presented the flag at the opening ceremony of the fair. The local chapter of the Civil Air Patrol Honor Guard was there too.

August 3, 2022: The fair beer garden, near the free music stage, was open and manned by the Brainerd VFW. There was a car and tractor parade that passed by. The Brainerd American Legion was there to help park cars.

August 3, 2021: It was Military Day at the Crow Wing County Fair. There was the annual Honor Guard ceremony with a presentation of the flag and singing of the Star Spangled Banner. Then the new Bataan Memorial was dedicated, honoring the nearly 75,000 American and Filipino soldiers who were forced to march 60 miles to a prison camp. Thousands died. Of the 64 Brainerd soldiers, only 29 survived captivity. The story was covered by the Brainerd Dispatch and Lakeland TV.
August 4, 2021: The Crow Wing County Fair drew thousands of people. Plenty of entertainment including bull riding. There was an antique car and tractor parade on Wednesday. The Brainerd VFW was there with one of the two beer gardens near the grandstands. It was a fund raiser for the fair and for the VFW. Thanks to the many volunteers who made this work.
