July 29, 2025, 5 pm: The Crow Wing County Fair opened at the Mills Stage with a Parade of Colors by the Brainerd Honor Guard, aided by the local Civil Air Patrol Squadron.

Chaplain Eusebia Rios Gave a heart-felt prayer, which was followed by the National Anthem.

The Honor Guard fired a 21-rifle salute, and taps were played.
July 30, 2025: Ron Speckler from KLTF Radio showed up to interview Mark and Paula Persons along with Jeff McArthur about veterans and the fair.

Volunteers to the Brainerd VFW manned a beer garden near the Mills Stage. There was dancing too. The Brainerd Legion ran a beer stand at the grandstand.
July 30, 2025, 10 am: There was an antique car and tractor parade. One of the cars, a 1936 Ford, overheated and steam came out from the engine compartment. Such is the way with 89-year-old cars!
Scenes from the fair. Two young military recruits stood at the Veterans Memorial Garden. They are heading to Army basic training soon.
The Rodeo: Military veterans were asked to stand and be recognized. The audience stood and applauded.
Parking was handled by volunteers from the Brainerd American Legion.
