Annual Memorial Service at the Brainerd VFW

​June 10, 2024: The VFW Post 1647 annual Memorial Service was held starting at 7 pm. It remembered those from the post and auxiliary who passed away in the last twelve months. 

Auxiliary Conductress Dee Imgrund was the event coordinator.​

​Those remembered from Post 1647 include Ronald Ahlgrim, Lester Dosmann, John Fillmore
Robert Marsh, John Ramig, Robert Breitling, Nick Dumbeck, Douglas Forseth, Dale Olson, Ronald Schaefer, Donald Chisholm, Michael Ette, Alan McArthur, Roger Olson and Ronald Tow.

Remembered from Post 1647 Auxiliary include Kristin Anderson, Leila Anderson, Della Creen, Lois Derosier, Diane Gildart, Karen Hanson, Vivian Harris, Helen Herbon, Naomi Herrich, Donna Johnson, Betty Johnson, Joyce Johnson, Dorothy Newman, Annette Patron, Virginia Schibonski, Mary Stoffel, Evelyn Toth and Dona Mae Weaver.

​ May 19, 2019: The annual Brainerd VFW Memorial Service was held honoring all post and auxiliary members who passed away in the last year.  An awe-inspiring ceremony.  All members and their families were invited.  
Sunday, May 20, 2018:  The annual memorial service was held for deceased members of Brainerd VFW Post 1647.  The ceremony was filled with emotion while songs America the Beautiful, God Bless America and Just a Closer Walk With Thee were played.  In Flanders Field poem by John McCrae was read as well.  Tears were shed for obvious reasons.
